BenQ MX518 2800 Lumen XGA DLP Smarteco Projector - Review
Awesome product for the price
There weren't any reviews on this projector when I bought it, so I was a little worried but it exceeded all of my expectations. It works great in the day time, the fan barely makes any noise, and the picture is fantastic. It wasn't very loud so I got separate speakers, but that wasn't a big issue. I also haven't tried the 3D feature yet but I'm purchasing the glasses soon.

Customer review : Great Value Projector
So, shortly after purchasing the BenQ MX514 projector (see my review for that projector on its product page), I found out that BenQ released an updated model, the MX518. Could this be better? The price was substantially higher than what I paid for the MX514, so I decided to stick with what I had. Well, in a few short days, the price fell, so I ordered a MX518. What a difference! Right out of the box, the color was so much better. In Cinema mode, Brilliant Color on, Color Temperature set to Warm, and minimal tweaks to the Contrast and Brightness, I ended up with a picture reasonably close to my ISF calibrated plasma display. I am beyond thrilled! The gain in brightness, contrast ratio, and the ability to play 3D Blu-Ray movies over HDMI are great gains. I definitely recommend the MX518 over the MX514. The MX514 is going back tomorrow!
