Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB GDDR5 DVI-I/HDMI/2x mini-Displayport PCI-Express 3.0 Graphic Card GV-R785OC-2GD - on Amazon.com

Great upgrade for 2012
Coming off a GeForce 9600 GSO from 2007 this card is a great upgrade. Maximum Windows 7 score (7.9). Runs games at max settings no problem. Description says recommends 2 6 pin power plugs - this is not true it only needs one, not only that it only has a spot for one. It's stock fan is as quiet as the previous Zalman fan I had and loved on my last card.

Customer review : fast, cool, quiet, and energy-efficient
I bought this card after careful consideration, and after reading August's Tom's Hardware Best Graphics Cards for the Money article. I couldn't be happier with it. Its TDP is only 130W, less than my old 9800 GTX. The GPU runs very cool - mid 50s on a sustained full load (on a summer afternoon in Honolulu, no less). The two fans on the heatsink direct the exhaust air through the back of the case instead of just circulating it inside the case. Paired with my overclocked AMD 1055t, this thing rips through Crysis 2 @ 1080p, 'Ultra' settings - looks beautiful on my 50" monitor!
